Activities / Highlights

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

Today you will behold the revered Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, which is said to be the most important site in all of Vietnam. It is inside the Mausoleum that Ho Chi Minh’s body is preserved and displayed, and where many Vietnamese come to pay their respects.

One Pillar Pagoda

Visit the beautiful One Pillar Pagoda – an historic Buddhist temple built in 1049 by Emperor Ly Thai Tong. The wooden pagoda was erected on a single stone pillar in the middle of a lotus pond, inspired by a lotus flower that appeared in the emperor’s dreams.

Temple of Literature

Discover the magnificent Temple of Literature, the first national University in Vietnam. The temple was established in 1070 in dedication to Confucius, sages and scholars and is featured on the back of the 100,000 Vietnamese dong banknote.

Cyclo Tour

Embark on a cyclo ride around Hanoi’s old quarter – here you will appreciate the aging French colonial architecture and well preserved shop houses. You will continue past many of Hanoi’s main attractions, appreciating the majestic Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Opera House, Ba Dinh Square and the Bach Ma temple.

Halong Bay Boat Trip

Embark on a boat ride to explore this great natural wonder. You will sail the emerald waters of the bay, passing thousands of limestone islands filled with natural caves.

Mekong Delta

Cu Chi Tunnels

Today you will discover the tunnels of Củ Chi that are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Củ Chi district of Ho Chi Minh City and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km from Ho Chi Minh to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens.
