Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Hanoi

    Hanoi Arrival

    Begin your journey by embarking on your international flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport you will be met by your tour manager and be transferred to your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for your full day tour tomorrow.
  • Day 2 - Hanoi
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

    Today you will behold the revered Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, which is said to be the most important site in all of Vietnam. It is inside the Mausoleum that Ho Chi Minh’s body is preserved and displayed, and where many Vietnamese come to pay their respects.

    One Pillar Pagoda

    Visit the beautiful One Pillar Pagoda – an historic Buddhist temple built in 1049 by Emperor Ly Thai Tong. The wooden pagoda was erected on a single stone pillar in the middle of a lotus pond, inspired by a lotus flower that appeared in the emperor’s dreams.

    Temple of Literature

    Discover the magnificent Temple of Literature, the first national University in Vietnam. The temple was established in 1070 in dedication to Confucius, sages and scholars and is featured on the back of the 100,000 Vietnamese dong banknote.

    Rickshaw Old Quarter

    Embark on a rickshaw ride around Hanoi’s old quarter and appreciate the local lifestyles as you wind through Hanoi’s streets. Here you will appreciate the aging French colonial architecture and well-preserved shop houses. You will continue past many of Hanoi’s main attractions, appreciating the majestic Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Opera House, Ba Dinh Square and the Bach Ma temple.

    Traditional Water Puppet Show

    In the evening, enjoy a captivating traditional water puppet show. A form of Vietnamese folk art, before tonight’s welcome dinner.

    Your next destination on tour is the world renowned Halong Bay.

    Halong Bay Boat Trip

    Take a boat trip to explore one of the world’s great natural wonders, cruising past thousands of limestone islands filled with caves of all shapes and sizes. The sails of junks and sampans gliding along the emerald waters of the bay create a picturesque scene that blends with the sky. You will also have the opportunity to visit some of the hidden grottoes beneath the towering cliffs.
  • Day 4 - Halong Bay

    Today you may enjoy a day of leisure or you may choose to join one of our optional excursions with our experienced tour guide.

    Halong Bay Food Tour (Optional)

    Embark on a city food tour to sample tasty local delicacies. On the Halong Bay food tour you will be guided to the best places in Halong Bay to sample delicious fresh, local and exotic delicacies. 

    Halong Bay to Hanoi by Bus

    Today, you will be transferred back to Hanoi by bus.
  • Day 5 - Hoi An

    Hanoi to Danang Flight

    This morning, you will fly from Hanoi to Danang. 

    Danang to Hoi An & Marble Mountains

    Upon arrival in Danang, you will be transferred to the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An, stopping en route view the stunning Marble Mountains. An important trading route between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An is a unique blend of culture, cuisine and architecture. Step back in time as you wander the narrow streets of this charming former trading port, with its ancient covered bridges and temples.

    Hoi An Arrival

    After taking in the beautiful vistas of Danang, you will continue on the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An.

    Hoi An was part of a significant trading route between the 15thand 19thcenturies. As a result, the city is now characterised by a unique blend of cultures, cuisine and architecture. You will step back in time whilst exploring its narrow streets, the charming former port, its ancient bridges and beautiful temples.
  • Day 6 - Hoi An

    Hoi An Leisure Day

    After visiting the historic sites of Hoi An you will enjoy an afternoon of leisure to wander through the town or relax at one of the many cafés along the picturesque Thu Bon River.
  • Day 7 - Ho Chi Minh

    Ho Chi Minh Arrival

    Today's tour will begin with a flight from Hoi An to the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh, formally called Saigon. Ho Chi Minh City has gone by several different names during its history, reflecting settlement by different ethnic, cultural and political groups.

    Cu Chi Tunnels

    You will have a half day visiting Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction and give visitors a feel for what life was like during the Vietnam War.

    Ho Chi Minh Departure

    Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your scheduled flight home (you will arrive home the following day) or continue on to Cambodia with us. We hope you enjoyed your journey to Vietnam with us!
